Calgary Visual Abstract ArtistTeresa CroughVisual Artist Being an artist, especially an abstract artist, could be considered the kiss of death. "You do what?" I am asked, and then told, "But I do not know what I am supposed to see!" Well, guess what? The heart of the art is hidden in the paint, color, and medium of whatever you are looking at in the moment. The experience could be compared to getting to know a person, plant, or pet, and just when you think you have heard or seen everything they give you something special of themselves. So, what I suggest is that you stand back, relax, breathe, and let the art feed you a new cuisine, and possibly then will appear the unscheduled surprise dessert. Giving change a chance is going against the old, an unobservant way of doing and being, let alone seeing. I love to try new methods, new mediums. It's a free way of expressing myself. I create pieces of art using watercolours and acrylics, sculpting, and drawing using charcoal or pencil. Most of my work is abstract using colour to reach the 3D effect or expression and capture movement and explosions of life. Thank you, and I wish you all the peace of mind and joy of heart. Abstractly yours, Teresa Crough
